Safe, supportive bodywork for expecting moms across every trimester, delivered in the comfort of your home. Side-lying positioning, bolster pillows, and trimester-aware technique from therapists trained specifically in prenatal care.
Pregnancy changes a lot of things at once. Center of gravity shifts forward. The pelvis loosens to prepare for delivery. Hormones increase fluid retention. The low back, hips, and round ligament take the brunt of all of it. A regular massage table and a regular massage protocol can't address any of that safely.
Prenatal massage uses side-lying positioning with strategic bolsters and pillows. The pressure stays light to medium, the work avoids certain pressure points believed to stimulate uterine activity, and we keep the abdomen and direct deep work on the legs out of the session. Done right, it's one of the safest, most relieving things you can do for your body during pregnancy.
First trimester (weeks 1 to 12): We follow the conservative standard most certified prenatal therapists use. Many providers prefer to wait until after the first trimester before starting massage, especially if there's any history of complications. Talk with your OB or midwife. If you have clearance, gentle work is fine, but most prenatal practices, including ours, default to starting in the second trimester.
Second trimester (weeks 13 to 27): The sweet spot for prenatal massage. The body has settled, energy is usually back, and you're not yet at the size where positioning is tricky. Most clients book monthly or every three weeks during this stretch.
Third trimester (weeks 28 to 40): When prenatal work pays off the most. Sessions focus on hip, low back, and leg relief. We use full side-lying positioning with extra bolster support, and sessions are often a touch shorter to keep you comfortable.
Have any notes from your provider ready, including high-risk diagnoses if applicable. Intake will ask about how far along you are, any complications, and where you're feeling it most. Pick a warm, quiet room. Your therapist will set up a portable table with extra bolster support, fresh linens, and pillows that go between your knees, under your belly, and behind your back so you're fully supported on your side. Most clients fall asleep at least once.
Pressure is checked early and often. Tell us if anything feels off. Pregnancy nausea, dizziness, or any new sensations during the session need to be flagged immediately so we can adjust position or end the session early if needed.
If you have a high-risk pregnancy, preeclampsia, gestational diabetes that's not well controlled, recent bleeding, or other complications, get clearance from your OB or midwife before booking. We'd rather have you wait a week and clear it than rush a session your provider wouldn't have approved.
60-minute prenatal sessions are $110, 90-minute sessions are $145. Travel within our service area is included. Many of our prenatal clients book a 4-pack to cover the bulk of their second and third trimester. See pricing for the package rates.
